Motley Crue‘s Nikki Sixx
traded in his bass for a baseball by throwing out the ceremonial first
pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game on Sunday (May 27).
Sixx took the mound at Dodger Stadium and threw his pitch, which
bounced in the dirt on its way to home sweet home, but was luckily saved
by catcher A.J Ellis.
After the pitch, Sixx shared his excitement with his fans on Facebook:
“Really grateful being from Los Angeles to be invited to throw out the
first pitch today at Dodger stadium (YES i can throw a ball). The
Dodgers are on a winning streak and you could feel it in the air
everywhere today. (New owners surly helps too.) My family had a blast.”
Well, Sixx certainly is a Renaissance man, as he’s both a member of
Motley Crue and Sixx A.M., not to mention a best-selling author and an
acclaimed photographer. But let’s just say he needs a little work on
throwing a baseball. So, Nikki, stick to your day jobs for now, but we
applaud the effort!
The Dodgers won the game 5-1 against the Houston Astros. Perhaps Sixx brought some luck to the mound?
